SBRC’s Sixth Annual
An (about) 10k Alley Cat Race from the Newtown Creek to the Gowanus Canal
Thursday night, 10 pm, September 7th, 2017
South Brooklyn Running Club is excited to bring back the Superfund Super Run, Brooklyn’s premier racing event, benefiting the Gowanus Canal Conservancy.
We start up in Greenpoint, at the lovely Newtown Creek, and run through the streets of Brooklyn to the Gowanus Canal. The route you take is up to you. And after the run, enjoy a beer and drink specials. What could be better?
Date: September 7th
Time: 10 pm (number pick-up begins at 9, don’t get there before that)
Start: Greenpoint Playground (Franklin Street and Dupont). Nearest subway is the G at Greenpoint Ave.
Finish: The Gowanus Canal at Union Street
Post-race party/award ceremony: Pig Beach, 480 Union St. Nearest subway is the F or G at Carroll St, or the R at Union
Route: The Super Run is an alley cat-style race, meaning you are on your own getting down to the Gowanus. Here is a suggested route.
Baggage: Baggage transportation will be provided. We put your stuff in a truck and drive it to the bar. Quick and easy.
